Whiteboard Animation Videos

You know those really cool marketing videos you have seen on YouTube and at trade shows and in commercials? The ones with the hand that draws while the voice talks?
Drawings appear and continue on and lead to the next drawing and they explain your product or your concept in a way that would be very hard to do, even using much more complicated and expensive methods. These videos are called ‘whiteboard animations’ and they have been proven to be very popular and also very effective in grabbing and keeping the viewer’s attention.

Pirate and Parrot: Realtime Cartoon Tutorial YouTube Video

Hi,
In this brief video I am doing a rough freehand sketch of a pirate with a parrot on his shoulder. Hard to tell from the drawing which one of the two has a higher I.Q. I have to admit. Safe to assume that together they might not quite make it to 100, but that doesn’t matter. They are lovely individuals and they have hearts of gold. The parrot however is slightly distressed, because he misplaced a winning Euro Millions ticket, but that is another matter entirely.

“Super Reed”

Some examples of character designs and rough concept sketches and layouts for a TV commercial. Artwork is created based on the agencies’, client’s and art director’s briefing and the characters are developed in a process of multiple design phases.

This project was a lot of fun to work on as I could play with the character ‘Super Reed’ who is already outrageous and funny and I could also live out my personal fondness for 00 and Bond villains as well as creating some other ridiculous super heroes.

It’s great when your ‘job’ is what you love doing anyway. :D
