Logo and Packaging Design: Red Carpet Vector Illustration “VIP Pack” for PartyPOW!

For this fun assignment, PartyPOW! a new, all-natural energy supplement, tasked me with the design of their company logo and CI as well as several character designs and illustrations and also the packaging design itself.

The concept was to have a fun crowd waiting outside a happening club on the red carpet. The skyline of a big city in a nondescript country with an evening sky in the background. Everybody is in a good mood. The main character arrvives with his charming lady friends and the security guys recognize him immediately and let him through with a big smile. He is evidently a PartyPOW! party animal.

The illustration was created in SketchbookPro6 (roughs) and Adobe Illustrator CS5 for final vector art using a Cintiq21UX. A video about the making of this pack is also featured on the Wacom.com homepage, where I am a featured artist.

More packs will be added for special events and themes such as Spring Break, Snowboarding, Beach Parties etc. Hopefully after a while there will be a nice range of fun and original packages to collect.

In this case I went with a brushed steel “cool” look. For people who don’t crack under pressure.

This was a challenging and fun assignment to create a highly detailed crest or coat of arms design, while yet also maintaining a modern and clean feel. This artwork was created as vector artwork in Adobe Illustrator and is fully and losslessly scalable.

Ja-Tail (pronounced jay-tell) stands for Just Another Timely Adventure In Life.

The Ja-Tail Corporate Identity features 4 versions of the crest logo for various applications: A full color version, a color version with black line-art, a 2-colored version with a red shield and banner and a one colored pure line art version.

For this project a character needed to be designed to symbolize the correctly equipped and dressed employee, who knows and adheres to the correct procedures and work safety rules.
“Oskar” was born.

A series of work-safety related illustrations was also created, mostly depicting a more unfortunate situation as in a “How not to do it” scenario. The illustrations needed to be clear without the use of any language.

The artwork was created as vector art in Adobe Illustrator CS5.

This was a fun project, a custom card design for the Sanafort Nutrition Company. The card is designed to contain a gift blister pack with natural Reishi extract.
Removing the blister pack reveals the bunny family and the decorated Christmas tree.

Retro Style Illustrated Advertising Poster Art

This was a fun project to create an old-fashioned style advertising poster for a fictitious ‘ELECTRON’ brand chain of “electric’ car charging stations.
The nostalgic fifties feel was enhanced by having an old Peugeot 403 with it’s little electric flap open in the front, ready to be charged fully by the smiling and attentive pin-up girl gas station attendant.

I tried to design the actual logo and little mascot for ELECTRON in a style fitting and adhering to classic fifties logo and character design to add to the semi-authentic feel.

This piece was printed as a poster run and was also a portfolio piece to showcase my work. It was created entirely as vector art in Adobe Illustrator using a Wacom Cintiq display.
