Shortly after city founder Harry Culver opened the landmark Culver Hotel it appeared in several films throughout the ‘golden age of comedy’. Producer Hal Roach featured the building in his ‘Our Gang’, ‘Charley Chase’ and Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy comedies. The hotel is particularily prominent in his films “Putting Pants on Philip” and “Leave ‘em Laughin’” with Laurel and Hardy. Placed by the way out west tent of the sons of the desert 2003.
