Flash Animation and Flash Character Design
Tuesday, December 29th, 2009I have just updated the homepage and finally got around to adding some examples of my flash animations and GUI to the Flash page. It only took me around two years, give or take, but hey – better late than never, right.
In any event if you click on the FLASH tab on the main Marsdencartoons.com website it now takes you to a pull-down menu from where you can select from seven different categories: Corporate, Interactive, Animation, Games, Banners, E-Cards and YouTube/Tutorials. These are all pretty self-explanatory. Each menu selection will open the example in a new window.
I hope you enjoy some of the pieces and possibly think of me or recommend me to your friends if you or they should require high-quality professional Flash elements for their sites, multimedia, advertising, presentations, e-mail campaigns or are generally looking to create the new viral advertising madness of the future.
Logo Design: New Crest and Logo for Ja-Tail Enterprises, LLC Beverly Hills
Monday, August 31st, 2009I just completed a total redesign of the Ja-Tail Enterprises, LLC Logo Crest.
Ja-Tail stands for Just Another Timely Adventure In Life and is an entertainment company based in Los Angeles. Their music division Ja-Tail Records just released the new La Toya Jackson single HOME. The new Ja-Tail Corporate Identity features 4 versions of the crest logo for various applications: A full color version, a color version with black line-art, a 2-colored version with a red shield and banner and a one colored pure line art version.
This new version of the Ja-Tail Crest Logo is entirely vector based.

Drawing a digital cartoon pencil sketch in AutoDesk SketchBook Pro 2010
Thursday, April 2nd, 2009I like SketchBook Pro very much for the purpose of rough sketching, layouts, storyboarding and generally creating the inital basic artwork which I then later use to import into other programs such as Illustrator, Painter or Photoshop for further coloring or line-art inking.
Sometimes I lay down some color in the sketches/concepts/layouts directly in SketchBook. It has some very useful coloring tools such as the advertising markers and airbrush.
